Induction Programme for New Staff
Welcome to Barnet Primary Care
We have devloped a virtual induction programme for all members of staff starting a new role in Barnet primary care. We hope this page will provide you with some useful induction material to complement your local practice induction and help you transition into your new role.
We have developed this induction pack to give you an overview of working in Barnet primary care, and it should provide you with some initial information you may find helpful when you start your new role, as well as being a useful resource for you to refer back to during your time with us.
Virtual Induction Videos
These virtual induction recordings have been produced to complement your local induction, so please do have a look at the videos most relevant to your role.
Messages from our Patients
We asked patients from across Barnet what they would like new members of their primary care team to know about what matters most to them, here is a selection of their answers:-
EMIS Web is the clinical IT system used in GP practices in Barnet and therefore an integral part of your induction will be to familiarize yourself with EMIS and the other IT systems central to working in primary care.
This video presentation provides an introduction to EMIS training with Agnes Rieu.
If you would like to arrange more detailed EMIS training please contact Agnes at email@example.com
Medicines Management Introduction
The Medicines Management Team is responsible for promoting safe, effective and economical use of medicines in primary care. We therefore recommend any new staff who will have a role in prescribing to watch this video as part of your induction.
